Happy Holidays friends and neighbors and best wishes for a joyous, prosperous and safe 2010.  We have a lot to be thankful for this past year including:
As a reminder, our next Triangle Neighbor's bi-monthly community meeting is on Wednesday, January 13th at 7PM at Roscoe's back dance floor (3356 N Halsted).  Meetings usually last an hour and cover everything from Alcohol to Zoning with attendees from the Alderman's Office, the Chicago Cubs, the Center on Halsted, Lake View Citizens' Council and more.  Also, please note the CAPS Beat 2331 Meetings will now be held at the Center on Halsted with the next meeting being Wednesday, January 6th at 7PM.

Space Park Winter Hours 
For safety reasons, Space Park (815-817 W Roscoe) will be closed during the winter when there is snow or ice on the ground.  As a reminder, please keep dogs and other pets off the grass and gardens to preserve the beauty of the park. 
The park's official grand opening will be in Spring 2010.

Neighborhood Events


Time is running out to get your Northalsted Holiday Bucks through Triangle Neighbors.  Remember 25% of your purchase amount will be donated to us when you select Triangle as the beneficiary. Dine, shop and play on Northalsted while supporting your neighborhood! Certificates are available in $25 increments.  The list of locations where you can use your Northalsted Bucks is online.



Skate along side Wrigley Field. $10 per adult and $6 per child for morning, afternoon or evening sessions. Proceeds help offset the cost of the rink. Skate rentals will be available for an additional fee.  The Rink at Wrigley will be available to the public through February 2010. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m. Levy Restaurants will offer refreshments.



Now in its 25th year, join over 1,500 Chicagoans on this 5K walk or run along Lincoln Park.  Your $30 fee includes a t-shirt with a portion of the proceeds going to Lake View Citizens' Council.  Choose between a 5K chipped time run, 5K fun run or 5K walk.  Registration starts at 9:30AM with the event at 11AM.  There's even a post-race party! Join us Jan 1st at Stockton and LaSalle Drives.



Enjoy the decadence of champagne, dessert wines and Valentine's Day pastries as you watch Lake View residents and business owners compete in the fun-spirited second annual Cake "Mixer" & Decorating Contest on Tuesday, February 9th! After the delightful cakes have been judged by local community leaders, they will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to support Thresholds Mothers' Project (1110 W. Belmont) a non-profit organization that helps young mothers in crisis.  At Ann Sather's on Belmont, 6:30-8:30PM.
