As a reminder, Triangle Neighbors' next meeting is this Wednesday, January 9th at 7PM at the LVCC offices located at 867 W Buckingham (Lower Level).  Everyone is welcome to attend.  The meeting begins at 7PM will last until 8:30PM.

SPACE PARK UPDATE

                                   Permit delays! 
Space Park Public Notice for Fence
 
Our park is no different in that we have to have the proper permits.  We recently posted notice get a variance to construct the 7' tall fence around the park.  As soon as the permits come in, we'll begin the wall construction. 
 
Have you gotten your brick yet?   There's still time but don't delay.  Order your brick today!
 
"OLD BUSINESS" 
We have regular updates on each of our standing committees and community groups including:
  • CHICAGO CUBS - Post season updates and what we can look forward to in 2008 - Jennifer Dedes Nowak from Chicago Cubs
  • HALLOWEEN PARADE - Vote to obtain permit to close the streets for the 2008 Parade - John Becvar
  • LVCC - A volunteer is needed to become the second TN delegate to LVCC (replacing Tim Collins) until TN elections this summer
  • UPCOMING EVENTS - Join LVCC as they co-host Participate in '08 Event at Sidetrack (6PM-8PM) on Friday, January 25, 2008.
  • 44th WARD ISSUES - Including posting numbers on the garages in the alleys - Mary Kate from Alderman Tunney's Office
  • 44th WARD CDDC - 1/23 Meeting at 6:30PM at Stadium Club to discuss possible large development at Clark and Addison - Updates from Greg Rohner
ZONING REQUESTS

3441 N Sheffield (The Yard) - Owner Don Ridge would like to apply for a patio license this year.  Don acquired the location (formerly The Pepper Lounge) last summer and currently owns The Underground Lounge. 
 
3532 N Halsted - Request to go to a C1-3 for a 5-story and residential commercial building.  Continued discussion on Brompton Auto Works request to upzone property - presentation by The Abbey in West LA.
