Dear John,

As a reminder, Triangle Neighbors' next meeting is Wednesday, May 14th, at the LVCC offices (867 W Buckingham Lower Level).  The meeting begins at 7PM and will last until 8:30PM.

Don't forget to vote tonight (5/8) at St. Luke's Church (1500 W Belmont) for LVCC President and five at-large directors.  Voting begins at 6:45PM for Members in Good Standing as of 4/30/08.  LVCC is allowing write-in candidates and our own Stuart Goodman has volunteered to run as a write-in candidate for At-Large Board Member.
MEETING AGENDA
We'll have updates from our standing committees and community groups:
  • TRIANGLE 2008-'09 ELECTION - We will hold our annual meeting and election in June - learn all the details about how you can get more involved in the neighborhood.
  • CHICAGO CUBS - It's official - there are no concerts planned for 2008.
  • HALLOWEEN PARADE - We continue the 2008 parade planning process and want to discuss the parade route and stage.
  • LVCC - Learn the results from the Annual LVCC Election.
  • 44th WARD UPDATES - Blue Bin Recycling in coming to Triangle.
  • 44th WARD CDDC - Hear updates about the proposed Planned Development on Clark/Addison.

SPACE PARK UPDATE

                                   Permit delays; Park Clean Up
Space Park Public Notice for Fence

Although verbally approved, the City  requested we re-file our plans for the park before permits are issued.  As such, we're in a holding pattern and cannot begin construction on the park.

So, join us on Saturday, May 17th from 12N-2PM for our semi-annual Space Park Clean-up.  Mayor Daley designated May 17th as Spring Cleaning Day for the City.  We are looking forward to volunteers, such as Young Chicago Lakefront, to help us with the clean up.

Have you gotten your brick yet?   There's still time but don't delay.  Order your brick today!
ZONING AND LICENSE REQUESTS

Diplomat Hotel - Chris Matan, a private investor, would like to present his plans for the Diplomat Hotel property on Sheffield.
