Subject: Reminder Triangle Neighbors Meeting - Wednesday May 13th
Triangle Neighbors
Dear John,
As a reminder, Triangle Neighbors' next meeting is this upcoming Wednesday, May 13th, 2009, from 7PM-8:30PM at a special location: Roscoe's Tavern (3356 N Halsted) in the recently renovated back room dance floor area.  (We'll post a reminder outside the LVCC Office - just in case you forgot.)
We have a full agenda (below) but we promise to keep the meeting moving along at a quick pace.
  • TRIANGLE ANNUAL MEETING AND ELECTIONS - All candidates interested in running for any Triangle Board position should present themselves at the meeting.  We'll set the time and place of our annual meeting and election held each June.
  • SPACE PARK - The fence is installed and we have the bricks from the Flower & Garden show!  (Thanks again to Belgard and CSEM).  Rick and Sandra will report on what you need to do to get your brick engraved as we move closer to our official opening this summer.
  • HALLOWEEN PARADE - We're in search of a theme for this year's parade.  If you have an idea, we want to hear it.
  • TRIANGLE ROOFTOP FUNDRAISER - Join us Tuesday evening, May 26th for a rooftop fundraiser at 3619 N Sheffield (Sheffield Baseball Club).  Special 2:1 pricing for those who attend this week's Triangle meeting and reserve their spot.
  • CHICAGO CUBS - Learn the latest about everything at Wrigley
  • LVCC UPDATES - Here about the upcoming LVCC Annual Meeting, Health Fair and Property Tax Forum on May 18th and learn where the new LVCC Offices will be after June 1st.  We'll also share the results of the two Northalsted Surveys.
  • 44th WARD UPDATES - Max Bever, the community outreach director, will talk about getting your Chicago City and 383 Parking stickers before June 30, 2009.  Also don't forget the Roscoe/Clark beautification on Thursday.
  • ZONING  - OLD BUSINESS (due to the volume of topics, a maximum of 15 minutes per topic)
    • Scarlet Bar - Kevin Jackson request to change zoning on property to build identical structure to adjacent buildings
    • Brompton Auto Place development at 3532 N Halsted (across from Brompton).  The drawings are posting to the LVCC web site.  We continue to work with the owners and Alderman Tunney to see if a compromise can be reached.
    • Clark and Addison Planned Development revised their proposals in December and then sent a letter to residents.
  • ZONING - NEW BUSINESS (introduced in one meeting and voted on in a subsequent meeting)
    • Linens 'n Things - request to upzone
    • Zoo (Clark) - request for sidewalk cafe on Clark
  • NEW BUSINESS - Other topics from the floor
