Criminals work best in dark areas. They depend on crimes of opportunity. But you can help fight crime with a few simple steps:
- Help us light up your street with porch lights turned on at dusk
- Always report street and alley lights that are out as soon as possible by calling 311
- Check exterior lighting surrounding your home. If there are dark areas, consider installing additional lighting such as motion sensors.
- Trump bushes and foliage to no more than 4 feet tall.
