Once again, the North LSD REDEFINE THE DRIVE Task Force (www.northlakeshoredrive.org) started the process to develop Phase 1 (conceptual) Plans for North LSD between Grand Avenue and Hollywood in 2013. LVCC is a member of the Task Force. The objective is now to complete the Phase 1 Study in 2022.
A next North Lake Shore Drive REDEFINE THE DRIVE Task Force is set for March 9, 2020. The main topic of discussion will be the proposed Transitway alternatives (Managed Lanes) in the median of LSD.
An issue we will raise is will there continue to be a median with green space (trees) on North Lake Shore Drive?
A new issue of concern is how the proposed North Lake Shore Drive will address the problems caused by the rising Lake Levels.
